Risk Disclosure
Last updated September 17, 2026
Before trading with real money, you should read this entire page. It is not written to protect us: it is written because what it says is true, and it is the first thing anyone who is starting out should know.
You can lose the money you deposit
Trading gold, currencies, indices, cryptocurrencies and, in general, leveraged products — CFDs, futures, options or margin accounts — involves a high risk of loss. You can lose part or all of the capital you deposit with your broker and, depending on the broker and the country, even more than you deposited.
This is not a theoretical warning. Brokers regulated in the European Union are required to publish what percentage of their retail accounts lose money with CFDs, and that figure is almost always above 70%. Most people who try it lose money.
What leverage does
Leverage allows you to open a position much larger than the money you have in your account. It multiplies gains to the same extent that it multiplies losses.
An example with gold: one standard lot of XAU/USD is 100 ounces. If the price moves 10 dollars, the position gains or loses 1,000 dollars, whatever the price of gold is that day. With a 2,000-dollar account, a move like that — which gold can make in a few hours — takes half of the capital. That is why the courses insist on calculating the size of each trade before opening it.
Education, not advice
- AlexandraFX is education. It is not financial advice, nor an investment recommendation, whether general or personalized.
- Revelio LLC is not an investment firm and is not authorized by any financial supervisor — such as the CNMV in Spain or the SEC in the United States — to provide advice, manage portfolios or receive orders.
- We do not provide trading signals, we do not manage anyone's money and we do not trade on anyone's behalf.
- The decisions you make with your money are yours, and so are their results. If you need a recommendation tailored to your situation, consult an authorized and independent adviser.
The Radar is not a signal
The Radar compares the rules that you write with public market data and returns an adherence percentage: how closely the market right now resembles the conditions you have defined. Nothing more than that.
- It does not know your account. It does not know your capital, your open positions, your broker, your experience or your risk tolerance, and it does not take them into account. That is why nothing it shows is tailored to your account or to your trading, and it is not advice — whether general or personalized.
- A high match is not an entry order. It does not say that the trade will go well, it does not say that you should open it and it does not say how much you could earn. A 90% is not a 90% probability of being right.
- It is not yours: it belongs to your rules. Any student who wrote the same conditions would see exactly the same percentage at the same moment. It depends on the market and on the rule, never on you.
- You write the rules, and the mistakes too. The Radar measures a good rule and a bad one with the same fidelity. That a condition is met does not mean it made sense to set it.
- The candles come from the same external provider as the prices on the website, with the same limitations explained below, and a reading may be delayed or may not arrive. Never rely on it arriving.
Examples are examples
The trades, charts and calculations in the lessons are chosen to teach a concept. Many are explained by looking at the chart when what happened next is already known, which is exactly what you will not have when you trade. That an example uses XAU/USD is not a recommendation to buy or sell gold.
Results are not repeated
- Past results — Alexandra's, other students' or those of any method — do not guarantee or predict future results.
- The leaderboard is not a promise of returns. It shows what specific students report over a specific period, unverified, and does not represent an expected or average result.
- Trading on a demo account is not the same as trading with real money: with real money there is slippage, spreads that widen, orders that are not executed at the expected price and, above all, the fear and haste of losing real money.
Prices on the website are for reference
The gold price you see on the website comes from an external market data provider. It may arrive late, be interrupted or not match your broker's, which has its own prices and spreads. It is meant to illustrate, not to decide trades.
Platforms and brokers
When we name a platform or a broker — MetaTrader or cTrader, for example — it is because the journal can read its data or because it helps explain something, not a recommendation to open an account. Before depositing money, check that your broker is authorized by the financial supervisor of your country.
Before trading with real money
- Trade only with money you can afford to lose entirely.
- Practice on a demo account first, until your rules work without improvising.
- Decide how much you risk on each trade before opening it, not after.
- Gains may be subject to tax obligations in your country: seek information from a professional.
